Dear Friends,

It is an honor to have served the past two years in the MO House of Representatives representing the 119th District.  Due to recent redistricting, I will be running for re-election in the new 129th District, which is all of Dallas County and part of Laclede County. 

I am a lifelong resident of Dallas County.  My husband John and I have been married for thirty six years.  We are landowners, and we raise beef cattle.  Prior to becoming State Representative I enjoyed a thirty year banking career, which helped me develop both good communication and good decision making skills.  Both of these are vital to be an effective State Representative. 

I have been a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Lebanon for almost twelve years, where I teach a Primary Girls Sunday School Class.

Since being elected, I have established a conservative, pro-agriculture, pro-business, pro-life, pro-Second Amendment voting record.  I have worked in Jefferson City to protect agriculture by fighting the HSUS, to lower regulations on business, to protect life, and we passed a balanced budget without a tax increase.  I recently received Associated Industries of Missouri’s Friend of Manufacturing and Industry award.  Small businesses are the backbone of our state’s economy.  I believe we should promote legislation that makes our state more attractive for businesses, and I have the voting record to prove that. 

I believe education is important.  I graduated from Buffalo High School in 1975.  Ten years later I decided to go to college.  After going to night school for almost ten years, I graduated “cum laude” from Southwest Missouri State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance.  I worked full time during the day while going to school at night.  I believe this proves that when I start something, I do not quit!  I am also a 1998 graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado. 

I believe my experience, voting record, and qualifications make me your best choice for State Representative for the 129th District.  I would appreciate your vote on November 6th!
